Rye Soccer Knocks Off #5 Team

The Rye High School girls’ soccer team knocked off the #5 team in 2A soccer on the 2nd of April when they downed Thomas MacLaren on the road 2-0.Angelina Atencio scored both goals on six shots taken. Averi Velez and Dani Frick each got an assist.

RHS Players Recall March 2022 State Third Place Victory

March 12, 2022 was a historic day for Rye High School girls basketball, when the Lady Thunderbolts (26-1) downed the Limon Badgers (23-4) 56-55 on a last second field goal by senior Sydney Adamson. The victory went down in history as the finest finish for the girls program at RHS.

Spring break created a short hiatus on sports activity, but it will be back to full speed ahead the rest of this week and into the weekend.The baseball team got back to action Tuesday when they traveled to Florence. Friday (April 6) they host Walsenburg for a double header.

Rye Drops a Pair Going into Spring Break

The Rye High School baseball team ran into #7 ranked Fowler on the road and gave up five runs in the final inning against Colorado Springs Christian school at home to come up on the short end of the score twice last week.

Rye Scores Ten Goals and Shuts Out Trinidad

The Rye High School Girls Soccer team took 44 shots on goal and downed Trinidad 10-0 on March 23 in Trinidad. Averi Velez and Angelina Atencio each scored three times, Niki Larson scored twice and Alexia Provenza and Abrianna Chianelli each had one goal.

The Rye High School baseball team started off the season with a 1-1 record. Do to issues with MaxPreps, which is the primary source for statistical information the View has very little but the scores.On March 11, Rye traveled to Pueblo East and lost the game 82.

Rye Soccer Team Resilient in Narrow Loss

The Rye High School girls soccer team, in their initial outing of the 2024 season, stayed tough and almost came back from a 3-0 halftime deficit on the road against Buena Vista.Buena Vista moved to the 3-0 halftime lead but in the second half the Rye offense began moving.
