Richard (Dick) Greet

passed away March 15, 2026 at age 87. He lived in Rye from 1983 2021. He was a professor of Mechanical Engineering at CSU. Dick volunteered as an EMT in the 1990’s, participated in many theater shows with the Greenhorn Valley Players, was an avid runner, photographer, lover of the outdoors.

Betty Jo “Jody” (Horner, Parker) Stanbro

Our dear Mother. Born July 25, 1934, in Elkhart, KS to the union of W. Ralph and Ina (Steele) Horner. The sun actually set on October 6, 2025, with a massive stroke, breath left her on October 9, 2025, in Tucson, AZ. She was never one to stay down.

76, of Rye, CO passed away on January 13th, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe A. and Lillie Valdez, and infant brother, Joseph.

Richard Fern,

74, of Colorado City passed away on November 16, 2025. Born on July 21, to Joseph Earl and Mary Alice Fern. He was a career Military Man serving in the United States Navy for over 22 years. He was a master mechanic, avid lover of the greenhorn mountains, and skilled fisherman.
