Jordan Hopes to Foster Lifetime Love of Golf

Anna Jordan is entering her fourth year as the girls golf coach at Rye High School. Jordan, who was also the assistant coach for one year, welcomed 13 athletes to the team this season.The squad will be composed of four juniors, eight sophomores, and a lone freshman.

Rye to Face Skyview in State Basketball Tournament

On Friday night at approximately 7:30 p.m. at Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, the Rye High School Thunderbolt boys basketball team will face Skyview Academy, from Highlands Ranch in the first round of 32 in the state tournament.RHS is seeded 19th with a 13-9 record.

Crowell Brings Twenty-Five Years Coaching Experience to Rye Girls Soccer

The only new coach to the spring sports lineup at Rye High School is John Crowell who will be coaching girls soccer.Although this will be Crowell’s first year as a head coach at Rye High School, he has plenty of experience with 25 years of coaching experience, including 19 years as the head coach.

Wrestlers Gain Wins and Experience at State Tournament

The four members of the Rye High School wrestling team that attended the Colorado State Wrestling Tournament at Ball Arena in Denver last week, won three matches, gained valuable experience and placed 35th out of 51, 2A wrestling teams, scoring nine points.

Post Season Begins for Rye Boys Team

The Rye High School boys basketball team dropped a pair of close games last week to finish out the regular season with a 127 record overall and a 7-6 league record, good for a three-way tie for 6th in the 15-team league.

Thunderbolt Girls Split a Pair of

The Lady Thunderbolt basketball team split a pair of games last week and moved their record to 3-12 overall and 2-8 in conference play. They are currently in 11th place of the 15 team Tri Peaks 3A-4A League.

Rye Boys Win Two of Three Last Week

The Rye High School boys basketball team moved their record to 11-5 with a pair of victories and one very close loss last week. In the Tri-Peaks League, Rye sits at 7-5 in 8th place in the 15-school conference. On January 29th, Rye dropped a close 62-59 decision to James Irwin on the road.

Rye Wrestling Team Competes in Tough Valley Classic

The Rye High School wrestling team competed in the Valley Classic held at Center High School on January 26-27. Twenty-six teams participated in the event. Centauri won the tournament with 209 points. Rye High School placed 16th and scored 40 points Dayton Blok, wrestling in the 285 lb.
