Coaches for the fall sports at Rye High School have been announced by Athletic Director Matt Addington. Connor Pigg will be the boys football coach. T.J. Blackhurst will coach the cross-country team.

Thunderbolt Hurler Receives All-State Mention

Aydin Swald of Rye High School earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list for the Rye Thunderbolt baseball team in CHSAA 2023 allstate baseball selections. Swald was 4-2 pitching on the season with a 3.28 ERA and also averaged .313 from the plate.

RHS’s Conner Pigg Selected to Coach in All-Star Football Game

When the CHSAA All-Star Football game is played on June 16, at CSU-Pueblo, one of the five coaches roaming the sidelines for the South will be Rye High School (RHS) Head Football Coach Conner Pigg.

Golf Team Ends Season at State Tournament

RHS Girls Golf Team Wins Regionals by 49 Strokes

The Rye High School Girls Golf Team captured the Regional Championship team title held on Wednesday, May 24 at the Hollydot Golf Course. The Rye team shot a total of 243 a full 49 strokes over 2nd place Salida. Kyndra Johnson of Salida was the gold medalist with a total of 74.

Rye Baseball Season Ended Saturday

The Rye High School baseball team ended earlier than the Thunderbolts would have liked, when they fell in the opening game of the post season to Estes Park, 9-7, last Saturday.

Guzman Medals in State Track Meet

The three members of the Rye High School track team who attended the state tournament at Jeffco Field in Lakewood did well to represent their school. Isaiah Guzman, who was seeded 7th in the triple jump, beat his season best by 3.

Three State-Bound Tracksters to Represent

Garret George, Isaiah Guzman and Jordan Holgerson will represent the Rye Thunderbolts at the State Track Meet May 18-20 at Jeffco Field in Lakewood Colorado. Guzman has the seventh best triple jump in 2A and will also participate in the long jump, where he is seeded 16th.
