Three Thunderbolts Achieve the Medal Stand at the State Track Meet

All three members of the Rye High School track team who attended the state meet placed in the top eight in each of four events at Jefco Stadium in Lakewood.Isaiah Guzman finished the highest of the Thunderbolts with a 4th place finish in the triple jump. Guzman leapt for 43’ in the event.

Golf Team Ties for Second Going into Regional Action

In the final match before the Regionals, which were on Monday and will be reported next week, the Rye High School Girls’ golf team tied for second at the Pueblo South Invitational held at Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo on May 6.Pueblo West won the team event with a score of 261.

Baseball Nine Playing Good Ball as They Head for Post Season

The Rye High School Baseball team won three of their final four games, solidified their post season ranking and are doing a lot of things right with only one regular season contest left before the post season pairings come out.On May 8, Rye hosted Las Animas in a double header.

Track Team Down to Final Regular Season Meet

The Rye High School track team split up last week with the majority of the team heading to the Cinco De Mayo Invitational at Walsenburg, while several went to the Pueblo Twilight Meet at Dutch Clark Stadium.Rye High School did well at the 19 team meet at John Mall High School.

Rye Wins One of Three Hotly Contested Baseball Games

The Rye High School baseball team had three well played games last week but ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard in two of those.On April 3 the Thunderbolts traveled to Monte Vista and in a hard fought, extra inning game, dropped a 11-8 decision.

Soccer Team Ends Season with a

The Rye High School girls’ soccer team finished with a pair of wins, but it ended up to be their final matches because they ended up ranked #21 but only the top 16 teams go to the playoffs.
