Nine Track Athletes Qualify for State

Nine Rye High School track athletes will be attending the state meet on May 15-17, competing in 13 events. The meet will be held at Jeffco Stadium in Lakewood. Isaiah Guzman is seeded 1st in the long and triple jumps, 8th in the high jump.

Baseball Team Sweep Double Header from Hoehne

The Rye High School baseball team put it all together last week on the 29th when they hosted Hoehne for a double header. Over the course of 13 innings they played error free ball, allowed only one run, and walked only four batters, as they won both contests, 10-0 and 6-1.

The Rye Thunderbolt Invitational was cancelled last Friday because of fog and rain and rescheduled for this last Monday when they got to deal with the wind instead.But, regardless of the weather the 24-team event went off smoothly and produced some top-quality performances.

Girls Golf Team Wins Two More Gold Trophies

In case you’ve been locked in a dungeon for the last month and a half, there is something astir in the golfing world. The Rye High School Girls Golf Team is playing phenomenal golf. Last week was no exception as they won another pair of tournaments.

Track Team Excels in Back-to-Back Track Meets

The Rye High School track team participated in back-toback meets last week. On Friday they traveled to Swink to participate in the Ray Headley Invitational meet along with 24 other schools. Top 5 finishers for the Thunderbolts are listed.

Rye Girls Golf Team Continues their Winning Ways

The Rye High School girls golf team had a busy week last week. On Monday, April 9th they won the Centennial Bulldog Invitational. The team shot a 269 to win the event.Kelsy Stribling finished in a three-way tie for first place with an 86.

Soccer Team Registers First Win

The Rye High School girls soccer team recorded their first win of the season, downing Ellicot on the road 2-1. Rye led at the half 1-0 and equaled the home team’s scoring output in the second half for the victory.Angelina Atencio and Averi Valez each scored a goal.

Rye Soccer Team Plays Lamar to a Tie

The Rye High School girls soccer team held 3A soccer power Lamar to the fire on April 3rd at home, and came away with a 2-2 tie, in a match where they led until the last seven minutes of the game.
