PCSO Polar Plunge Raises Nearly $23,000 for Special Olympics

PUEBLO, COLO – After a two-year hiatus because of COVID-19 the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Polar Plunge returned to the 42- degree water of the Pueblo Reservoir on March 5.

RHS Magnificent Seven are State Bound

The #5 ranked Rye High School Girls basketball team rolled through the regional tournament they hosted at Rye High School and will face #4 seeded Cedaredge at 8:45 a.m. this morning at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland. On March 4, the Lady T’s defeated Front Range Christian 51-14.

The Rye High School Boys basketball team continued their post season basketball journey with a defeat of District #1 seed Holly (as reported last week) and a narrow edge of your seat loss in a thriller against Crowley County.

Undefeated Rye Girls Basketball Team Hosts Regional Tournament Friday and Saturday

The Rye High Girls Basketball team continued their perfect season with a pair of victories in the district tournament and an opportunity to host the 2A girls region 5 regional tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Middle School Wrestlers Conclude Successful Season

The Craver Wrestling team had a successful season ending with a tournament in Fowler in which 11 of 15 wrestlers placed. The tournament, held on Saturday, February 26 consisted of 18 teams.

Remington Peterson won his second consecutive 2A wrestling championship and ended his senior year with a perfect 33-0 record.

Rye Boys On the Bubble for Post-Season Play

“The Rye High School Boys’ Basketball team are hanging onto hopes for post season action but the final nod will not come before league play is completed. Head Coach Dakota Stupar indicated that the final process will be completed either Wednesday night or Thursday, both after press time.

Peterson Leads Trio of Rye Wrestlers to State Tournament

The Rye High School wrestling team is sending three wrestlers to the state tournament in Denver this weekend after the three finished in the top four spots in the regional tournament held at Otero Junior College in La Junta last Friday and Saturday.
