The Rye High School Golf Team competed in the Pueblo Centennial Invitational Tournament on August 24 and finished 15th in the large tournament with much bigger schools.
“I thought we did well,” shared Head Coach Phillip Spicer. “We need to work on long drives and putts because we are still leaving some shots out there but the guys are working hard.”
Pueblo West won the team title, followed by Falcon, and Coronado.
Falcon’s Reese Knox won the individual gold medal.
Axton Ehrlich led the Thunderbolts shooting a 97.
Markus Anglin shot a 99, Nicholas Goldberg shot 110, and Anthony Hutcheson shot a 118.
The team travels to Rocky Ford next Thursday to continue action.
