loving sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, 75, of Rye, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Pueblo Colo. Sandra, daughter of the late Wayne “Red” and Violet Glee French was born on Greenhorn Mountain during a blizzard in Rye, Colorado on February 21, 1950. She is survived by her three sons, Edward Lingo, Airen Fleming (Donna) and Branden Fleming; siblings, Sharon Miles (Tom), Bonnie Soltman (Don), Cheryl French, Larry French, Daniel French (Jan), Tammy McDowell and Kandi Meyer (Dale); grandchildren, Victoria Fleming, Jacob Fleming, Kloey Fleming and Zander Fleming; great-grandchildren, Ellie Fleming, Maya Aguirre and Amber Fleming; extended family and friends. After graduating from Linn Technical College with a machinist degree she went on to enjoy a career with Chrysler in Fenton Missouri in the engineering/machining department. After retiring from Chrysler she loved spending her time gardening, canning and sewing. She was a master tailor/seamstress who created one-of-a-kind hats, dresses and outfits that truly were an extension of her.
Greenhorn Mountain stands strong as ever. Tribute to strength nothing could sever, Sandra will now rest forever.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Rye, Colorado.
