Fred Hale went to be with the Lord May 13, 2022. Fred was born March 22, 1930 in Chicago Illinois. Fred and Mary moved to Colorado City from Chicago in 1969, making them the 37th family to make Colorado City their home. He loved his community and was active in the Lions Club and served on the Colorado City Metro Board.
Fred enjoyed spending time with his family. In retirement, he and Mary enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Arizona where he actively vol-unteered and made lifelong friends, especially his morning coffee group.
Fred is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years Mary, daughters Joan Graves, and Mary Traeber . He is survived by his sons, Fred (Misa Dunkel), Tom, Bill (Valerie), Jim (Kelly) Hale. Son-in-laws, Ed Graves and Art Traeber . Grandchildren, Lauri Graves, Julie (Brian) Bosacker, Hope (Morgan) Bartlett, Hannah, Austin, Connor Hale, Brittany and Braiely, Great grandchildren Chad Graves, Seth and Paige Bosacker. He will be forever remembered in our hearts.
A private family service will be held at a future date. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of donations to Sangre de Cristo Community Care (Joni Fair Hospice House)
