Charles Edward Burbidge, 79, passed away on March 6, 2023. Survived by his wife, Karen Burbidge; daughter, Julie (Jim) Crain; son, Scot (Brandy) Burbidge; grandchildren, McKinzie (Reagan) Rudd, Carson Crain, Amelia Burbidge, Branson Burbidge; brother, Harry (Susan) Burbidge; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Amelia (Kunau) Burbidge; sisters, Roxie Newell and Wilma Brill; brothers, Lowell Bollin and Dean Burbidge.
Charles was born, on June 3, 1943, at the family home in Pueblo. He retired from the Fire Department after 32 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing, and meeting and talking to people. His family nickname was “The Mayor of America’. He was a member of the VFW, the Moose, the Eagles, the Elks, and the American Legion.
Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
Service held March 15, 2023, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens, at a later date. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of Hollydot, PO Box 19285, Colorado City, CO 81019.
