From a casual comment by a family member to a one-stop shop for personal care, Mountain Men’s Cuts has come a long way.
Brittannii Martinez, owner of Mountain Men’s Cuts, recalled that the driving thought for her business came from a casual comment from her father-in-law, Steve Martinez. At a family gathering, he said to Brittannii and her sister-in-law, Melissa Weldon, “You girls should open a shop.”
In March of 2021, right in the middle of the COVID-19 mess, the ladies took a chance and did just that. They opened just parttime in one of the smallest offices of the Ace Hardware Shopping Center. Martinez opened Mountain Men’s Cuts which specialized in haircuts for boys and men, and Weldon opened Mountain Air Massage Therapy in the same office.
By now, these busy ladies have expanded their businesses into the largest space available in the Ace Center. Plus, they have two other businesses renting rooms with them in the office to cover the personal care needs of the entire family.
Mountain Men’s Cuts is sporting a comfortable new client chair in the sleek office that they have now been in for about a year and a half.
Mountain Air Massage Therapy has a spacious and luxurious room and offers several different types of massages.
Mountain Country Hair Designs by Michelle Hurley joined the team a few months ago, offering hair care for women. Aly Root, an esthetician, very recently opened Real Root Beauty in another room of the suite.
Mountain Men’s Cuts occupies the largest room of the office and Martinez serves as an information source regarding all the businesses, although each one sets their own appointments.
