K-12 Student Art Display and Concert Shows Off Many Talents
There is an amazing amount of talent in the Rye and Craver Schools, and it was displayed brilliantly at the recent student art show and concert.
K-12 students of Rye Elementary, Craver Middle, and Rye High School showcased their work and talents from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Rye High School on Wednesday, March 8. Artwork in the form of painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, sculpture, digital art, and more was displayed in the cafeteria and hallway, while the stage was filled with entertainment from the RHS and Craver bands and choir.
Many forms of entertainment were offered as community members turned out to support the Arts at Rye High School. The displays of the students’ work were stunning, and it was interesting to see ribbons awarded to the students as their artwork was placed in different categories. Snacks created by the RHS cooking class were offered, and some student artwork was on display as a part of the silent auction. Proceeds from the silent auction were split between the students and the arts and music programs.
