PUEBLO AREA AGENCY ON AGING
The Pueblo Area Agency on Aging (PAAA) is inviting the public to participate in a Community Conversation at the Greenhorn Valley Library on August 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The library is located at 4801 Cibola Dr.
Area Agency on Aging was established in the 1973 Older Americans Act as the “onthe- ground” organizations charged with helping vulnerable older adults live with independence and dignity in their homes and communities.
The event on the 29th gives you a place to share your vision of the future, offer opinions and suggestions and express concerns.
The Pueblo Area Agency on Aging is under the Pueblo County Department of Human Services and its mission is to provide a coordinated, comprehensive service and delivery system that assists older citizens in maintaining independence, health and personal well-being.
PAAA is funded under the Older Americans Act and contracts with various agencies in Pueblo to provide services to the community. Services by SRDA, First Light Home Care, Colorado Legal Services, and Center Toward Self Reliance are possible from funding provided by the Pueblo Area Agency on Aging. The partnerships between PAAA and other agencies provide options and assistance to older adults within Pueblo County.

*PAAA is payor of last resort, all other resources must be exhausted before the voucher can be used, this includes but is not limited to, private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and health savings plans. **Farm vouchers are limited in availability and are only issued in August and September.
