21st Annual Faith Circle’s Mountain Aire Festival

The 21st Annual Faith Circle’s Mountain Aire Festival Dinner and Auction is nearly here. One of the most celebrated and looked forward to events in the Greenhorn Valley, the Festival will take place on Saturday, July 23. And, with 2022 being the 150th Anniversary of the Rye Home United Methodist Church, members are pulling out all the stops to do the event in a big way.

This year's menu promises to be just as delicious and mouthwatering as everyone has come to expect at this event. An old-fashioned ranch BBQ with all the delicious sides and topped off with homemade desserts and pies awaits festival-goers this year.

It has been reported that Jody Griffin, head of the Faith Circle, has called out all the valley’s best pie makers to contribute to the desserts.

The dinner and silent auction will kick off at Christenson’s Brush Canyon Ranch on Old San Isabel Road from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and will be followed by the live auction from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $15.00 per person and this can be paid at the door, no prior ticket purchase is needed.

The variety of merchandise donated for both the silent auction and the live auction is stunning. Items ranging from quilts, small pieces of furniture, pottery, handmade crafts, tables made from beautiful beetle kill pine, local artists' work, and much, much more.

The Mountain Aire Festival is the largest fundraising event of the year for the Rye Home United Methodist Church Faith Circle. From the proceeds, help is provided all year long to community members, as well as those passing through who encounter problems. The Faith Circle funds are used to help community members that fall on hard times to pay their utility bills, buy firewood, pay insurance, or other essential living costs.

Travelers might be helped with gas money or provided food vouchers. The Santa’s Helpers project at Christmas time is a part of this group's work, and a fund is available at all three local schools for teachers to help any student in need.
