The Pueblo County Republican Party (PCRP), in conjunction with the Mountain Valley Patriots, will be hosting their annual meet and greet old-fashioned BBQ. This is the perfect opportunity to get out and meet several candidates running for office in a laid-back setting. At the same time, you can enjoy some great food and music and help support small local businesses by visiting their booths.
The BBQ will be held on Sunday, June 26, at the Greenhorn Meadows Park Pavilion from 1-5 pm. The BBQ lunch will be served from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Please bring your own chair as provided seating is limited. A ticket will be required for the BBQ lunch, and tickets are available by calling 719-295- 0600, at the PCRP office at 614 N. Main St, Pueblo, at the Republican website link: https://secure.anedot.com/pueblo-county-republican-party/june-funraiser-bbqcf50e574fa3a5dfa1a004 , or purchased on-site the day of the BBQ.
Tickets and information are available locally by calling Cyndy Marshall at 719-582-7002, or Sharon Scutti at 719-248-8193. Adult tickets are $10, and Children's tickets are $5.
There will be a dessert walk which will just cost $1 to enter. At intervals between introductions of the candidates, entertainment will include live bluegrass music by Kurt Kosair and the Apache Creek Fiddlers.
Organizers expect this annual event to be bigger and better than ever this year, as they have expanded and are teaming up with more organizations and candidates. All Pueblo County Republican candidates have been invited to the BBQ, as well as the state candidates.
The hosts invite all local vendors and businesses to show their products or showcase their business for free by setting up a tent or table in Greenhorn Meadows Park. This BBQ is just two days before the primary election so come out for one of your last chances to meet the candidates, hear what they have to say, and get to know who you are voting for.
