Rye Girls Start January Where They Left Off

The Rye High School Girls’ basketball team picked up where they left off before Christmas break downing Holly 58-14 last Friday.

Sydney Adamson led the Lady T’s with 20 points, four assists, and eight steals. Sophie Adamson had 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Jordan Holgerson-Rahl pulled in five rebounds and had four steals. Morgan Elarton also had four steals.

The game was over, almost before it began. Rye led 18-0 at the end of the first quarter and 36-3 at halftime. The girls shot 50% from the field and 80% from the free throw line.

The basketball team has a busy week this week. They traveled to Fowler on Tuesday evening after press deadlines. Tonight (Thursday) they travel to Swink and all eyes are turned to the Thunderdome on Saturday when Rye will host Hoehne.

Hoehne as of Monday had a 9-1 record and were 4-0 in league. They are ranked 9th in Max Preps in 2A in the state. Rye is 9-0 and 3-0 in league. Rye is ranked 2nd in Max Preps 2A.
