Painting and Beyond

BUSINESS BRIEF

In the last few years, many of you in the Greenhorn valley have likely become acquainted with Greg Smith, the owner of “Painting and Beyond.” Although Greg has completed painting projects from Denver to Trinidad and many points between, he likes to stick close to home.

“Home” is here in the Greenhorn valley. At least 75% of Greg’s painting projects are local.

In the painting world, Greg does “anything and everything.” When asked what is his specialty, his firm and immediate response was “customer service.”

“I rely heavily on repeat business,” shared Greg. “I do not just want to do your one job. I want to do your next ten jobs over the next ten years!”

To achieve that, Greg strives for crisp lines, near perfection, and high quality on every job.

High quality is the reason Greg does virtually all the work himself. “It is always tempting to take on more work and larger projects with more workers,” shared Greg.

Greg has done that in his career, running multiple crews and many projects at the same time. “I know from years of experience, to assure I can maintain the level of quality I want to be known for, I need to do the work myself.”

The driving force behind Greg’s mission to be successful, is his daughter Kenedi.

His middle school age daughter lives and goes to school in Oklahoma City.

Of Kenedi, Greg said “She is my EVERYTHING!

Kenedi is my reason to produce high quality work and to get call backs, so I can continue to maintain a close relationship with her. We Facetime nearly every day and Kenedi visits me here whenever her school and her involvement in sports allow.”

Kenedi is rapidly making a name for herself in her sport of choice…. Soccer.

Her early play has even caught the attention of some college scouts. Whenever Greg and Kenedi are together, they spend time outdoors kicking around the soccer ball, or enjoying other outdoor activities such as hiking or fishing.

Greg has stayed busy, especially this year since February. As customers pass along to their friends and family the type of work Greg produces, his reputation, and number of jobs has grown.

“I am busy, but I can always be busier,” assessed Greg.

When asked about his goals in business, Greg said, “to have everyone in the community know who I am.

That is why I deliver the very best, every time.”

Today Greg is working for a local real estate agent getting a house ready to be listed for sale. Last week Greg was painting a metal storage building. Big or small, private party or working as a subcontractor, Greg say’s he tries to approach every job “like the future of my business is relying on it, because it is!” Currently, most of Greg’s work is for private parties right here in the Greenhorn valley.

“I will do anything for anybody,” Greg stated.

“Recently I painted the lobby of the Highline (Rye Telephone) office. I have all of the necessary Insurance Certificates to do high level commercial work although I’m just as happy to spruce up your shed out back.”

Greg can be reached anytime at 303-875-1132. He would love to hear from you so he can further his goal to be known throughout the valley.
