COLORADO CITY
According to a phone call with James Boxrud | Strategic Communications, for the United States Postal Service, the last day for Colorado City residents to pick up their mail at the Fortino branch of the United States Post office will be today (Thursday).
Friday and Saturday will be a training day for the new postal service management and employees in Colorado City, and Colorado City residents may pick up their mail in Colorado City on Monday, September 19.
The September 19th date was reported in the Greenhorn Valley View in stories several weeks ago but, as is often the case, social media had decided that mail would not be able to be picked up until September 20th, causing questions in everyone’s mind.
Postal mailboxes were scheduled to be reinstalled, according to Boxrud, yesterday (Wednesday).
Thank you to everyone who participated and uniting your voices about concerns in the effort to restore mail to Colorado City.
