“I’ve helped lots of people with lots of fund raisers,” said Sharon Wade. “Now we have a need, so my Time to Sing Concerts is going to feature my daughter, Myracle.
Right now, we are a one-car family and Myracle is driving from Colorado City to CSUPueblo every day to finish up her senior year.” Wade continued, “We are hoping we can raise enough to get her a car.” Myracle Wade is a senior at CSU-Pueblo. And not just an ordinary senior. On Saturday, October 1, during halftime of the Homecoming game against Fort Lewis, Myracle was crowned the 2022 Homecoming Royal.
The crown is awarded to the nominee who receives the most popular votes, as decided by the campus community.
Of the ten candidates for Homecoming Royal, Myracle garnered the most votes.
The Rye High School graduate was crowned by last year’s Homecoming Royal, Sonia Caban.
“Winning homecoming royalty has truly meant a lot to me, more than you know.
Having this title shows that I am a positive influence and representative for this school, as well as being a big figure on campus. I felt special. It brought up my selfesteem, as it has recently got lower,” said Myracle. Myracle is working on a major in K-12 music education. The full-time student has made many efforts to find a job, but with her schedule and the number of hours she practices for her all-important Senior recital, she has not found employment. So, sharing one car continues to be an issue.
At the upcoming concert, this daughter of Pueblo and the Greenhorn Valley communities will be performing select songs from her Senior Recital. The classic concert will feature beautiful arias in four languages: English, Italian, French and German.
Dr. Michael J. Beck will accompany Myracle on the piano and, along with Myracle’s performance, special guest and accomplished violinist, Alexandru Cracium, will participate in the event.
Ascension Episcopal Church at 420 W. 18th St.
(corner of 18th and Grand) in Pueblo will host the event, which will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30. A free-will offering will be taken and the contributions will benefit Myracle toward transportation and the completion of her education.
