COLORADO STATE FAIR
The 2023 Colorado State Fair is just 43 days away and it is not a bit too early to start preparing. There are several early specials available if you purchase tickets prior to the fair’s start date.
Adult Gate Admission is $9 through August 24, and $15 starting August 25 with Kids (ages 5-12) admission is $7 or children 4 & under are free (when accompanied by an adult). If arriving at the fairgrounds without tickets, visit Gates 3 (Mesa Ave.), 5 (Prairie Ave.), or 9 (Beulah Ave.) for fair admission. The remaining gates are service only or require credentials and do not sell admission.
The Colorado State Fair 2023 runs from August 25 through September 4 and the grounds are located at 1001 Beulah Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004. The office is open 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and can be reached by telephone at 719-561-8484 or 1-800876-4567, or by email at statefairinfo@state.co.us.
The fair hours of operation are Monday-Thursday: 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. with Friday through Sunday and Labor Day being open 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The carnival hours are Monday-Thursday: 3:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m., Friday-Sunday, and Labor Day: 11:00 a.m. -12:00 a.m. The Family Fun Zone Rides are open when the fair opens and close at 10 p.m. daily.
The Unlimited Ride Band is available for $32 through August 24 but is $40 starting August 25. The Megapass sells for $160 through August 24 and goes up to $200 starting August 25. Special days and discounted admission days are abundant to allow everyone a chance to visit the Colorado State Fair.
Friday, August 25 and Friday, September 1 is Senior Day plus Five Dollar Fridays offering free admission to seniors over 60 or $5 admission to non-seniors until 5:00 p.m., plus every food stand will offer a $5 item until 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 27 is Black Hills Energy American Heros Day with first responders and military receiving $8 off the admission price, making admission just $7.
Monday, August 28 and Monday, September 4 are Colorado State University-Pueblo Kids Day with free gate admission for children 12 and under.
Tuesday, August 29 is Two Can Tuesday with free gate admission when you bring a donation of two canned food items.
Wednesday, August 30 is One Price Wednesday. The $15 fee paid at the gate will give you access to the fairgrounds, admission to the Ranch Rodeo and the Ned LeDoux concert, plus a carnival ride wristband (some rides excluded).
Thursday, August 31 is Back to School Day with free admission and a $25 unlimited carnival ride wristband with a student voucher or coupon.
Sunday, September 3 is a day sponsored by the Colorado Lottery offering $3 off fair admission when you bring a non-winning lottery ticket.
