A Community Service Well Done

Months of hard work by the Colorado City Rye Lions Club were completed on Saturday, December 21, when they held their annual Christmas food and toy distribution. Eighty families were served, providing food for 333 people and gifts for 96 children/teens!

The Greenhorn Valley Book Club met on Thursday, December 19, to review Matt Haig's The Life Impossible and wrap up a year of fun and good memories.Linda Lewis, Greenhorn Valley Branch Manager and leader of the book club meetings, went to a lot of effort for this meeting.

Craver FFA Provide Community Service

Ashley Tremain, Craver Middle School teacher and FFA Advisor, has twenty-five eighth-grade tudents enrolled in the Craver FFA program. In just its second year at Craver, the FFA program is still constantly working and expanding. Craver FFA members can get the coveted blue FFA jackets this year.

Four Volleyball Players Receive Post Season Honors

Four volleyball players received post season honors. Bella Bond was named First Team Santa Fe League and 2A All-state Honorable Mention. Named to the Second Team in the Santa Fe League were Seine Roy and Desiree Ruiz. Ruiz, like Bond, was also a recipient of 2A All-state Honorable Mention.

Four members of the Rye Thunderbolt football team were voted as all-league by the coaches. Josh George, Jose Martinez, and Tony Adams were first team and Jheff Miller was honorable mention.George led the team in touchdowns, rushing touchdowns, and interceptions.
