Rye Gridiron Woes Continue

The gridiron woes of the young Rye High School football team continued last Friday when they traveled to Colorado Springs and faced the #1 ranked passer in 1A. The Colorado Springs Christian School home team defeated Rye 52-0.

Rye Gets Win Over Swink in Solid Week

It was redemption time for the Rye High School girls volleyball team on October 17th when they hosted Swink and downed them in three straight sets: 25-15; 2927; 25-22. On September 12 in Swink, they lost three straight sets.“Our match against Swink was redemption,” shared Head Coach Michele Roy.

Rye Downs Ellicott for Homecoming Victory

The Rye High School football team made Homecoming extra special with a 21-12 victory over Ellicott. The win was the first for the young Thunderbolts this season and they did it with a tough defense and 326 yards rushing for the game.

Rye and Swink to Clash Tonight for League Lead

The Rye High School volleyball team has a date with destiny tonight (Thursday) when they host Swink, with league standings and post season rankings in the balance.Rye goes into the match 11-4 and ranked #13 in 2A, while Swink comes into the contest 15-3 and ranked #7 in 2A.

Rye Golf Team Places 14th in State Tournament

The Rye High School Boys’ Golf team concluded their season with a 14th place finish in the 2024 2A State Tournament held at The Club of Rolling Hills in Golden last Monday and Tuesday.Branson Burbidge finished 45th of the 85 golfers in attendance with a two-day score of 181.

Cross Country Team Hosts Invitational Friday

The Rye High School cross country team had last weekend off and are using that time to heal injuries and soothe ailments before they host their own invitational at Hollydot on Friday, October 18th. The meet begins at 4 p.m.

Rye High School head football coach, Connor Pigg, had hoped the start of league play would see a victory for his young Thunderbolt football team. But, the trip to Peyton last week saw the TBolts lose five fumbles and throw two interceptions and end up on the short end of the score, 41-0.

Cross Country Team Shows Well at Canon City Meet

The Rye High School girls’ cross-country team placed 11th and the boys’ team placed 12th in the Canon City Middle School and High School Cross Country Invitational held on the 26th of September.Woodland Park captured the girls title with a team score of 69. Rye placed 11th with a team score of 301.
