Veteran Stan Abel Presented Valor Quilt by Scrappy Ladies

Rosemary Holland Silver Heart, Purple Heart, and Vietnam Marine Service Medal recipient Stan Abel was presented with a Valor Quilt by the Colorado City Scrappy Ladies Quilt Guild. Abel was a Marine in Vietnam. Abel shared his Marine career experiences.

Kalman Returns to Visit VFC

Remarkably Bright Creatures

The Greenhorn Valley Book Club gathered on Thursday, October 26, at the Greenhorn Library to discuss the novel, Remarkably Bright Creatures. The lighthearted, detailed, and fun book brought out a lightness in the group, as well, as they discussed the characters and detailed plot.

Saint Charles Fire Slows up Because of Snow

As of 9:00 a.m. on October 30, the St. Charles Fire had burned 459 acres and was 23% contained. The snowfall and colder temperatures have slowed the fire’s growth and reduced the fire behavior.
