Book Club Wraps up 2024

The Greenhorn Valley Book Club met on Thursday, December 19, to review Matt Haig's The Life Impossible and wrap up a year of fun and good memories.Linda Lewis, Greenhorn Valley Branch Manager and leader of the book club meetings, went to a lot of effort for this meeting.

VFC Christmas Muppet Sing-a-Long Drew a Crowd

Rye High School Musicians Look Toward the Future

On December 11, Rye High School musicians put on a holiday concert at the Main Gym of Rye High School. The rock band performed numbers by Stone Age, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Blink 182.

The Colorado City Metro District (CCMD)) approved the 2025 budget by a unanimous 5-0 vote and, in the process, saved Colorado City taxpayers money. The board approved a mill levy to fund the budget of 16.984 almost a full point below the legally allowed mill levy of 17.96.

First Quarter of 2024 Questions Safety in Pueblo County

Our neighbor to the north, Pueblo, began 2024 referred to as The Murder Capital of Colorado. In 2023, there were 27 homicides in Pueblo County, including long-time resident of Colorado City, Fred Ettleman.
