Mower Settles into Rye Town Clerk Position

Jocelyn Mower dived headfirst into her position as the Rye Town Clerk, and hasn’t looked back. Hired on December 31, 2021, the same date that was scheduled to be former Town Clerk Sherri Beach’s last day, Mower had to train fast. Mower shared, “Training with Sherri Beach was a wonderful experience.

FFA Oyster Fry and Auction Brings Nearly 700 to the Table

Rye High Future Farmers of America (FFA) set up shop and opened the doors for their Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry and Labor Auction on Wednesday, March 16.

The first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere was on Sunday, March 20. The day is also referred to as the vernal equinox (sometimes also referred to as the spring equinox or March equinox) and it is almost always either March 20 or March 21.

SOCO Regional Quilt Show Features Local Artist

The Southern Colorado Regional Quilt show will be from March 31st to April 9th at the El Pueblo History Museum in Pueblo. The show is sponsored by the Pride City Quilt Guild and is open from 10am to 5pm daily. The featured quilter this year is Carol Davis from Colorado City.
