Cross Country Team Shows Well in Huge Race

Seventy-nine high schools and middle schools participated in the Joe I. Vigil Open High School and Middle School 2026 Cross Country Meet on September 12.Top finisher for the Thunderbolts was Victoria Hoosier who finished 136th of the 354 high school girls’ who competed.

The Rye High School volleyball team went 2-2 with a full week of activity. On September 8 the lo cals traveled to Crowley County and won 3-1. Rye won the first, second and fourth match, losing the third one 20-25 to claim the victory.On the 11th, Rye fell to Swink 3-1.

RHS Golf Team Wins Rye Invitational

The Rye High School boys golf team won their own invitational shooting a 235 to capture the title/ Ty Wood placed second in the event shooting a 74. Kade Kenney was shot a 78 which was good for third place. With an 83, Pierce Burris came In 8 th and Collin Stribling finished 36 th with a 93.

The Rye High School volleyball team dropped a pair of matches last week, to move their record to 1-2.On the 26th Rye hosted Gunnison and lost 3-2 in a back and forth set of matches. Rye won the first two games 2521, and 25-16.

Rye Cross Country Team Starts Well

The Rye High School cross country team started the crosscountry season on August 21 with a trip to Colorado Springs to the Cheyenne Mountain High School and Middle School cross country meet. One hundred and thirty-nine teams were in attendance in what may be the largest meet of the season.
