Board Approves Auditor's Report

Sam DeNardo, Certified Public Accountant with Garren, Ross, and DeNardo presented the completed audit for the District 70 School Board’s approval at the February 21 meeting.
DeNardo shared that the nearly 100-page document was quite extensive and detailed.

Trujillo Finds a Home in the Colorado First Responder Community

Texas raised Sam Trujillo, his sister and his uncle were out in his uncle’s vehicle listening to music. When the then 13-year-old Trujillo got home he found his mom, face down, unconscious and unresponsive in a bowl of sugar.
Trujillo yelled for his dad, while his uncle called 9-1-1.

Ettleman Murdered Friday Night in King Soopers Parking Lot

Seventy-eight-year-old Rye native, Fred Ettleman, was shot and killed Friday evening, February 24, in the Northern Avenue King Soopers parking lot. The Pueblo Police Department arrived at the scene at approximately 8:20 p.m.

New Journey Starts for Hwy 10 Meat Processing Owner at Age 62

“It’s been a journey,” shared fourth-generation dairyman, Brett Corsentino, owneroperator of Hwy 10 Meat Processing, Walsenburg.
Thirty-five years of Corsentino’s life was spent milking cows. For the latter 20 years, his family was milking for Horizon Organic.
