Restrictions Starting to Lift, Allowing Some Evacuees to Return Home

A 7:00 a.m. on July 7, the Aspen Acres Fire has burned 93,634 acres, with 15% containment. The Alaska Complex Incident Management Team and crews from multiple agencies are focusing on protective and preventive measures in the Wetmore area, cutting 20 to 30-foot-wide fire breaks.
