The Hatchet Ranch hosted a Community Church Gathering on Sunday, July 5, allowing Greenhorn Valley residents who have been evacuated to come together with friends and neighbors to worship.Most of the Greenhorn Valley area churches were represented.All were welcome to worship together.

Leak Test Approved for Lagoon

The Colorado City Metro (CCMD) Board of Directors met on June 23 at the CCMD office.A proposal was made to hire Jeskik and Company of Pueblo to conduct a leak test of the CCMD lagoon. The lagoon has been cited in regard to the enforcement order from the State of Colorado in regard to the dam.

Sheriff David J. Lucero announced the promotions this week of four employees. Bethany Solano and Dante Guadagnoli were promoted to the rank of Captain, and Brian Ziolkowski and Kayla Ruiz were promoted to Lieutenant. The promotions are effective immediately.
