After a couple of meetings where it appeared the Pueblo County School District 70 (D70) Board of Education (BOE) was prioritizing business and making progress, the meeting on May 5 devolved into bickering once again.

Rye Elementary School Spring Carnival: A Celebration of Fun

With the last day of school just three weeks away, there was no better way to celebrate a successful year than with a lively Spring Carnival. On the evening of Thursday, May 7, Rye Elementary School was transformed from a place of learning into a massive playroom for the Spring Carnival.

After just over a year in business, Teresa Rankin, owner and operator of Balance Bodyworks LLC, has now moved and expanded to a larger space which currently includes two other businesses new to Colorado City.

Ribbon Cut on New State of the Art Jail

At a ribbon cutting held on May 7, the Pueblo County Sheriff ’s Office officially celebrated the opening of the $150 million, 672 bed facility, which also houses a medical clinic, an infirmary, a full-service kitchen, laundry facilities, a large evidence storage area, and areas for inmate programs.
