After being named the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Duane Nava has ended his campaign for one of the at-large Pueblo City Council seats. Nava said he is dropping out of the race out of concerns that serving on the city council would create a potential conflict of interest.

I know, I know you’re all wondering when we are going to get around to wishing you a Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day (IPD). Of course, you already know that IPD was first recognized in 1934. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the papers to make it happen on the same day as Columbus Day.
