Chamber Delivers Welcome Baskets and Plans Casino Night

It’s just one thing after another with the Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce: events, business promotions, and good times, that is. The June 6 meeting found Chamber members busy making plans for one of their biggest events of the season, the Casino Night scheduled for Saturday, July 23.

Professional Grade Disc Golf Course Opens in Memory of Darren Butcher

The grand opening of Darren’s Memorial Golf Course and the first disc golfing tournament in the history of Colorado City will take place on June 25th. The 90-person tournament, with some of the highest ranked disc golf players in the United States, will begin with player check-in at 7:30 a.m.

Tattered and worn with the scars of having served their duty, several American flags will be relinquished for disposal with all the respect they deserve on Saturday, June 18. Flags no longer suitable to represent the nation are retired in a dignified manner, during a traditional burning.
