A landmark home that perched on the hill west of Interstate 25 above the St. Charles River was destroyed by fire on the evening of Tuesday, February 11. The home was a total loss.Thankfully no lives were lost, but a family of four was displaced and a historic and sentimental home destroyed.

A surprising Pueblo County Public School District 70 (D70) Board of Education (BOE) work session, held on February 4, left those in attendance stunned as Superintendent Ronda Rein announced a $2.5 million decrease in state funding which may result in school consolidations or closures.
