Nominations for the office of Director on the Colorado City Metropolitan District (CCMD) Board of Directors opened up in January 2023. District Manager Jim Eccher made the announcement at the January 10, CCMD meeting during a discussion about appointing the Designated Election Official (DEO).

Days Inn General Manager Wants to be Involved in the Community

Ruth Griffith has worked at the Colorado City Days Inn for 13 years, 11 of those as the General Manager. On August 8 of last year, Diamond Lodging, LLC of Monument, Colorado became the owner of the motel and Griffith has noticed a difference.

Local Lawman Becomes Marshal, Awards, and Increased Utility Fees End 2022

The fourth quarter of 2022 kicked off bright and early with the annual Clennin Family Cattle Drive. The drive comes down Highway 165, turns onto Boulder St. in Rye and continues to the south of Rye, where the winter pasture waits near the home ranch.

High Country Repair and Landscaping Moving Forward
