Coordinated Enforcement Agencies Capture Suspect in Triple Homicide

What started out as a property dispute in a wooded area ended up as a triple homicide, along with an additional count of attempted murder and one of firstdegree assault in neighboring Custer County on November 20. Authorities arrived at the scene at approximately 1 p.m.

Chamber Sponsored Christmas Parade of Lights Coming Soon

The Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce will, again, take Christmas Cheer to the streets with their annual Parade of Lights on December 16. The event will stage participants at the Rye Methodist Church at 5:00 p.m. and promises a new Rye route this year.

Rye Town Readies for Tree Lighting December Second

At the October 11, meeting of the Town of Rye, the board read, reviewed, and discussed the 2024 budget draft. After discussion, $15,000 was added for Water Tank Maintenance and $50,000 was added for Main Sewer Line emergencies.

Rye Mountain Park to Receive New Equipment

Pueblo County Parks and Recreation was happy to announce that it is removing the old playground equipment at Rye Mountain Park and replacing it with safer, more modern equipment.
