Meeting Reveals Two Hefty Donations to VFC

The May 15 Sangre de Cristo Volunteers for Community (VFC) Board Meeting revealed the organization has recently received two large donations. VFC President Judi Patrick told the board members that Susan Kalman had sent a $10,000 check to be used toward the mortgage on the building.

VFC Yard Sale Proceeds Support Other VFC Projects

The Sangre de Cristo Volunteers for Community (VFC) held one of its fabulous yard sales on Saturday, May 11. The yard sales are more accurately basement sales at the Susan Kalman Community Center, so inclement weather doesn’t interfere with the sale.

After eleven years of gracing the hallways of Rye High School (RHS), Michelle Mann Madril is retiring. But she says she will “Forever be a Thunderbolt.”“RHS was a great place to spend over a third of my career. I was blessed to have been here and honored to serve this community. I love these kids!
