Big things are happening for Rye High School’s Knowledge Bowl team. Ten amazing RHS students participated in the Knowledge Bowl Regionals this year where they took the honors of 1st in 2A and 2nd allaround in the recent contest.

Community Celebrates Drive-thru Option at Bank of the San Juans

The Colorado City Bank of the San Juans officially reopened for business on Saturday and held a ribboncutting ceremony for their new drive-thru facility.
With the aid of the Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce, 15 people gathered at 8:30 a.m.

Colorado Rebate for Tax, Rent and Heat Available

Colorado residents including people with disabilities and older adults can now apply for the PTC Rebate which will assist with property tax, rent, and/or heat expenses as the winter season approaches. Colorado residents who qualify can receive up to $976 a year.

School Districts Win the Right to Choose in Mask Mandate

The mask mandate is now up to the two Pueblo County school district's boards of education. The Pueblo County Board of Health decided unanimously on January 26 to alter the county's mask mandate for public schools.
