Annual Espinosa Fishing Derby Draws Twenty Contestants

Janessa Leach pulled in an 18 ¼” trout, not only winning the eight and younger category in the Reuben Espinosa Annual Fishing Derby sponsored by the Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce, but also to win the title of biggest fish in the entire contest.

RFPD Swears in New Members

The Rye Fire Protection District held the swearing-in of two of their new members during their May 16 meeting. Returning member Mike Graber and new member Rick McMorran were sworn in by Rye Fire Chief, Steve Bennett. New member, Austin Clennin was unable to attend the meeting.
