Rye answered the call after a game one defeat of 16-25 to St. Mary’s. The Lady T-Bolts weren’t about to let that happen again. They beat the Pirates the next two games and finished them off in the 5th with 15-9 win for a 3-2 victory on Saturday, Oct. 9 during a non-conference game. Rye is now 11-14 overall and 8-2 in League. Rye High Volleyball Team Cracks the 2A Top Ten

The Rye High School Volleyball team downed a pair of teams ranked higher than they were and began the new week ranked 9th in 2A volleyball in Colorado with an 11-4 record. On October 5 Rye traveled to Hoehne and downed the hosts 25-17, 18-25, 25-23 and 25-18 to win the match.

Volleyball Team Moves into Second Place in Santa Fe League

The Rye High School volleyball team played four matches in five days, winning three of them and raising their season record to 9-4 and their league record to 7-2 which puts them in 2nd in the Santa Fe League. On the 28th of September the Lady T’s hosted Rocky Ford and John Mall.

Fourth Ranked Florence Downs Thunderbolts

The Rye High School Football team ran into Florence, the number four team in the state and found out why in a 52-0 loss to the Huskies who remain unbeaten at 6-0.

Cross Country Team Eyes Regionals on October 22

With regionals looming on October 22, the Rye High School Cross Country team competed in a pair of events over the last week, highlighted by the Rye Invitational. Joshua Newitt placed second to meet winner, Ethan Conrad of Pueblo County, in a time of 19:02.10. Conrad finished in 18:27.01.
