Letter to the Editor Thank you Terry! I really resonated with this editorial. (Three Races that Show Your Vote Matters- July 7) Complaining about our elected officials is probably the most highly participated national pastime. Yet too often we forget that we can do something about our angst - vote!

Crypto: Investment or speculation?

With cryptocurrencies so much in the news, you might be wondering if you should invest in them. But “invest” may not be the right word – because, in many ways, cryptocurrencies, or “crypto” for short, are more speculation than investment.

Eighteen months into Biden’s administration and things are a little messy in the economics department, i.e., inflation is running rampant. I won’t say that Biden is totally responsible for how we got here, but he has been major contributor. Let’s use a baseball analogy.

CCMD in Denial I realize that I am considered “chicken little” in talking about Colorado City’s water availability and that the comment “we have plenty of water” has been voiced more than once by our Board but I need to point out a couple of items of interest.

The US Mail and it's lack of local service:

Well Bravo Sierra, and Boo Hoo, The safety of 4 government workers, easily fixed by our caring government by providing the proper environment for its workers. Perhaps leasing an air-conditioned construction trailer parked near power or a portable generator. Vendors easily found by googling.

When Green Becomes Black. Looking back on the month of May, my area experienced a 20 inch snow dump – no surprise there, it's Colorado. But also during the month, we experienced a couple of those pesky power blackouts – you know those events when you really gain an appreciation for electricity.

Hey Big Spender… I don't get out much, but just returned from doing a grocery and gas run. I can now proudly say that I've just joined the club of big spenders. It used to be unique club, but hell, we’re all big spenders now. Enough said. Anthony C.
