The Denver Broncos and Delta Dental of Colorado teamed up to honor teachers. Selected from District 70 were teachers Ethan Beeman, Katherine Dodge, Connor Pigg, and Stacie Snell. The Touchdowns for Teachers is a program that recognizes local Most Valuable Teachers (MVTs).

Ruth Griffith has worked at the Colorado City Days Inn for 13 years, 11 of those as the General Manager. On August 8 of last year, Diamond Lodging, LLC of Monument, Colorado became the owner of the motel and Griffith has noticed a difference.
