Community Garden Receives Major Overhaul

It is amazing the beautiful things that can be done when the Greenhorn Valley comes together on a project. Although the Colorado City Community Garden is tucked away, nearly out of sight, it has been a treasure to some.

Town of Rye Reviewing Well for Emergency Use

Mayor Marty Rahl stated that a preliminary meeting was held with a District 70 representative and Rye Fire Protection District Chief Steve Bennet to go over the use of the approved Town of Rye water well for emergency fire services.

North Creek Fire Moved Fast

The first call came into Beulah Fire Protection and Ambulance District (BFPAD) at 12:58 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, with the dreaded word that there was a brush fire up NorthCreek. Things happened fast after that.

RFPD Responded to Semi-Truck Fire

Tuesday, April 11, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Rye Fire Protection District and Pueblo Sheriff’s Department were called to assist with a semi-truck tractor that was engulfed in flames on northbound I-25 near mile marker 79.
