Scrappy Ladies Create Beautiful Quilts for Hospice Project

There have been a lot of busy fingers in the Scrappy Ladies Quilt Guild lately! Barb Heaton shared that sometime in April or May DeeDee Lowry, from the La Junta area hospice, approached her about using some donated material to make quilts for hospice.

Eight Craver Middle School students were honored with one of their schools' highest academic rewards as they were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). The induction ceremony was held at 5:00 p.m. at Craver Middle School on the evening of May 22.

A Quiet Life, by Joella Ethan. While the books underlying subject matter of handling grief, learning to survive without loved ones, and dealing with life’s next steps sounds overwhelming, most of the readers seemed to agree the well-written book was a good one.

Chucka Agency Introduces Farmers Insurance Team and Offices

In March of 2019, David Chucka left the home building industry, opened his Farmers Insurance office in Colorado City, and moved steadily forward. He recently opened an office in Pueblo, joining the Walsenburg and Colorado City offices.
