2023 Year in Review - Second Quarter

The 2023 Rye Elementary School Carnival was a huge success. In addition to games, and prizes the fifth-grade students offered a pasta dinner, with proceeds going to end of year activities. There was also the sale of large, healthy plants from Harlie’s greenhouse.

Christmas in the Valley is a Community Celebration

The 2023 Christmas in the Valley celebration was a warm holiday get-together where Valley residents of all faiths enjoyed each other's company and talents. It is not to promote any religion over another but simply to promote community spirit.

2023 Year in Review - First Quarter

The first quarter of 2023 will be remembered for the February 24 murder of long time resident and local State Farm agent Fred Ettleman. Ettleman was shot and killed in the Northern Avenue (Pueblo) King Soopers parking lot. The murder remains unsolved.

Self-Serve Water and Ice Station Coming to the Valley

Ethan Beeman, Rye High School FFA Advisor and Ag Teacher, presented a request for a trip to be approved by the Pueblo County School District 70 Board of Education (BOE) on December 5.
