VFW Retires Worn Flags

They served their nation well and were retired with dignity and honor.VFW Post 7305 held an official retirement ceremony for worn or damaged United States flags on Saturday, May 4. The ceremony was held in the Lake Beckwith parking lot, near the LTC. Fred A. Ettleman Post 7305.

This year's San Isabel Electric scholarship applicants have shattered previous records. The notfor- profit electric cooperative collected 73 complete applications, nearly double the number in recent years.

Rye Elementary Participated in Successful Pilot Program

During the April 23 Pueblo County School District 70 (D70) Board of Education (BOE) meeting, Dr. Anthony Martinez, Director of Curriculum and Instruction for D70, shared that a Literacy Pilot Program had been declared successful.

Juniors Shine at Achievement Award Ceremony

The Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star Chapter, and Order of Amaranth of Pueblo County once again recognized fourteen Outstanding Junior Achievement Award recipients. From each of the seven public high schools in the Pueblo County area, a boy and girl are selected to receive this honor each year.

RCC Saddle Club Ready to Kick Off Season

Dust off those saddles and curry up the horses; Rye Colorado City (RCC) Saddle Club is getting ready to start its season.In order to get ready for the 2024 season, two workdays, Thursday, April 25th, and Saturday, May 4th, are scheduled to get the arena and equipment in working order for the season.
