Ohlsen Newest Hall of Fame Member

It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes dedicated leaders to make 4-H programs work. The Pueblo County Parent Leader group recently recognized Rye resident Christina Ohlsen by inducting her into the Pueblo County 4-H Leader Hall of Fame.

Colorado City/Rye Lions Club Make the 6th Annual Car Show a Success

A beautiful fall day showed its splendor with bright blue skies and the changing colors of the leaves to welcome approximately 50 cars and 15 craft vendors to the 6th Annual Colorado City/Rye Lions Club Halloween Car Show and Craft Fair.

Fear Complicates Pandemic Eye Problems for Children

Walsenburg, CO - Getting the creepy crawlies at Halloween is usual, but for children feeling fear can be prompted for all types of reasons. Dr. Clark at Rocky Mountain Eye Center spent time this past Friday working to eliminate that fear for many of our local kids.

The Pueblo Economic Development Corporation (PEDCO) announced 17 new jobs coming to the Steel City. These jobs will generate an estimated $760,000 in prebenefit payroll. Ecological Materials LLC is opening a new manufacturing/processing facility on Santa Fe Drive.

Mountain Park Benefits from 2016 De-Brucing

The Rye Mountain Park benefitted from 2016 Ballot Question 1A, a de-brucing proposal that passed comfortably, allowing the Pueblo County Commissioners to keep excess taxes collected with the caveat that 20 identified recreation programs would be funded.
