According to a phone call with James Boxrud | Strategic Communications, for the United States Postal Service, the last day for Colorado City residents to pick up their mail at the Fortino branch of the United States Post office will be today (Thursday).

Cody Scheid carries two badges. In his full-time job he is a deputy with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) and assigned to the Emergency Services Bureau. On a part-time basis he works for the Rye Fire Protection District (RFPD).

TJ Blackhurst is in his 11th year as Head Coach of the cross-country team at Rye High School. In addition to cross country, Blackhurst will be coaching the girl’s basketball team this year. The boy’s cross-country team has nine members this season.

CCMD Board Rejects Proposed Tap Increase

A motion to raise Colorado City tap fees failed to pass the Colorado City Metropolitan District Board of Directors at the August 30 meeting. The proposed motion was to raise the tap fees from the current $16,500 to $20,000.
