Despite a 65-58 loss, Rye will face #3 seed Centauri (18-3) in the regional tournament.

Colorado City Wrestler Qualifies for Girls State Wrestling Tournament

Ivey McAlhany of Colorado City is headed to the CHSAA Girls State Wrestling tournament with a 3rd place finish in CHSAA Region 2 Girls action. McAhlhany placed third in action Friday and Saturday, February 10-11, held in Coronado High School in Colorado Springs.

Rye’s District Hopes Depend on Rematch with Buena Vista

The Rye High School boys’ basketball team played for an opportunity to face #2 seed, The Vanguard School, when they faced Buena Vista, Monday night in a pig-tail game to be played in Rye. Rye beat Buena Vista 51-38 in their only meeting this season.

Rye Girls Basketball Team Back into the Win Column

The Rye High School girls’ basketball team got back into the win column on the 13th of February, downing James Irwin 44-20.
Kelsy Stribling scored 13 points, had eight rebounds, two assists and four steals in the victory. Lacie Laca scored nine points and had a dozen rebounds.

Final Week Crucial for RHS Boys Post-Season Invite

In their only action in the past week, the Rye High School boys’ basketball team fell to Manitou Springs on the road 69-52.
Brandon Benz returned to action in a big way scoring 25 points, grabbing three rebounds and adding a pair of assists to his performance.

Rye Girls Continue Rebuilding Year

The Rye High School Girls’ basketball team dropped a pair of games and move into the final week of the season continuing to focus on building for the future.
Without a single senior, and dealing with a series of injuries, the Lady T’s dropped a pair of games this week.

Two Wrestlers Place in RHS Hosted Regional Tournament

The Rye High School wrestling team’s wrestling season ended with the CHSAA 2A Region 4 tournament held at Rye High School. But, the fact that no one is headed for state does not indicate it was a bad season, according to Head Coach Billy Forell.

Boys Basketball Team Suffers Defeat by Turnovers Last Week

According to Head Coach Lane Sherwood the Rye Boys’ Basketball team were in both games last week but over 20 turnovers a game spelled a pair of defeats against a pair of top contenders.
“We definitely were in both games,” shared Sherwood, “but our turnovers are killing us right now.

Blackhurst. “I like the culture we are building. they work hard, they are a neat group of kids,” Blackhurst shared, with emotion in his voice. “I want in the worst way for them to get some wins.

Top Ten CSCS Team Downs Rye

Top ten ranked Colorado Springs Christian School invaded the Thunderdome on the 17th of January and left with a convincing 54-30 victory over the locals.
