Dear Editor, I’m writing to let you know that the article in last week’s paper about charities contributing to our Valley communities had incorrect figures in connection with Volunteer for Community’s (VFC’s) activities.

Viewpoint: Take a Deep Breathe, COVID Controversy Isn’t Over

The Supreme Court, by a 6-3 vote last Thursday, blocked the federal COVID mandate which required employees at companies with 100 or more employees to be vaccinated or tested weekly. An estimated 84 million people were affected by that ruling.

The Taxman Cometh. Well it's a new year and tax filing time will be coming shortly. Evidently, Uncle Sam is getting his ducks in order to acquire as much money as possible. For 2021, they've let it be known that any taxpayer, regardless of the content of his or her character, is okay with them.

Viewpoint: Beating Father Time

I am determined to beat Father Time. I know people have tried that forever. I don’t have the money for plastic surgery so I am going to have to do it by my actions. For instance, for the first time in a number of years, my wife, Lori, and I made it till midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Cancellation The Cardboard Recycling The Cardboard Recycling scheduled for January 8 (this Saturday) has been canceled. The decision to cancel was made because of rising cases of COVID-19 in the Greenhorn Valley and throughout Pueblo County.
