Town of Rye Prepares for Annual Reviews

Laca Scores Prestigious Daniels Scholarship

From thousands of applicants, 400 finalists were interviewed, and 230 exceptional students across Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming have been selected as 2025 Daniels Scholars. Lacie Laca, a student at Rye High School (RHS), has been honored as one of these prestigious scholars.

Daytime Book Club Welcomes New Leader

Quilt Show and Demonstrations Well Attended and Appreciated

The 15th Annual Southern Colorado Regional Quilt Show concluded on Sunday, April 13, after attracting a record-breaking attendance. Organizing committee members reported that 1,324 visitors attended the quilt show at the El Pueblo Museum over the ten-day event.

Spring in Colorado brings unpredictable weather, which can sometimes interfere with plans.When that happens, it’s best to reschedule and find a new location. That’s exactly what has been done for the Arts and Crafts Supplies Swap that was originally scheduled on April 5.

Baseball Nine Struggle to Put It All Together

The Rye High School baseball bats took the week off last week, managing only seven hits in three ball games, resulting in a trio of losses.On April 8, Rye traveled to Peyton where they were downed 9-1. Jackson Bjourn scored the only run of the day and had a hit. Branson Burbidge also had a hit.
